Test copies and PDF proofs

You can print a single copy of a digital mini, tabloid or broadsheet to see how your design looks in print. After ordering, contact us to get a 20% discount voucher, up to the value of the test copy. The voucher is valid for one month and can be used on your next order over £/€/$200.

Can I order more than one test copy?

Yes, you can order multiple test copies, but can only use one 20% voucher towards each order over £/€/$200.

Does the voucher expire?

Yes, it’s valid for one month from the date we send it.

Test copies for traditional orders

We can’t print test copies for traditional runs because they’re printed on high-speed, industrial presses that can’t be stopped before hundreds of copies are printed.

We don’t recommend ordering a digital test copy for a traditional run – the finish and colours will be different. Instead, refer to our traditional printing guide for tips and best practices and order a free sample pack to see our traditional print quality.

PDF proofs

We can email a PDF proof of your newspaper on request. The PDF proof is a processed version of your PDF and will show you whether text, graphics and transparencies will print as expected.

A digital PDF proof won’t show exactly how your colours will look in print. Please see our digital printing guide or traditional printing guide for more information about colours.
If you're printing a mini, the PDF proof does not show you how it will look when trimmed. The PDF proof includes the bleed, which will be trimmed off after printing.
